For a large, recognizable chain, PetsMart is pretty disappointing. Compared to many other online pet shopping portals, PetsMart has a meager product selection and is generally overpriced. Additionally, the layout of their website is less than optimal for ease of use.

In general, PetsMart's prices are mediocre. Most of their stuff for cats and dogs is priced fairly, but a lot of the small animal products have been marked up significantly perhaps due to their corner on this market.

It's hard to say why, but PetsMart's selection is surprisingly limited. In general, you'll probably be able to find what you're looking for on this site, but it's not a sure-thing. Since PetsMart is a major, nationwide chain, they get held to a higher standard than Mom and Pop stores with regards to selection. In light of this, they are a bit of a disappointment.

PetsMart's website is not user friendly. It is difficult to navigate and contains too much advertising. Also, there is too much movement and change on the website. Nothing stays the same for more than a moment, which is very tacky and unprofessional.
